Kassie joined Copaken Brooks in 2025 as the Senior Associate of Retail Brokerage, where she currently leads all retail brokerage for the firm alongside Erin Johnston. With more than 11 years of experience in commercial real estate, she specializes in retail tenant representation, sales, and leasing of retail properties across the Kansas City metro and surrounding areas.

Known for her collaborative approach and strong market knowledge, Kassie works closely with clients to understand their unique goals, providing personalized strategies that maximize value and long-term success. Her commitment to building strong relationships and delivering results has made her a trusted partner to both tenants and landlords throughout the region.

Prior to joining Copaken Brooks, Kassie served as an Associate Director with Newmark Zimmer. In that role, she managed a diverse portfolio of retail tenant representation assignments and oversaw sales and leasing efforts for more than 1.5 million square feet of retail properties. Earlier in her career, she also worked with Newmark Zimmer as a Property Manager, where she managed a portfolio of office and industrial properties totaling over 550,000 square feet.

Throughout her career, Kassie has represented clients ranging from local entrepreneurs to national brands. Her recent work includes site selection and representation for tenants such as Smoothie King, everbowl, and Roots Seasonal Cuisine.

Kassie Murphy is a licensed real estate professional in Kansas and Missouri with an active presence across the commercial real estate community. She is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS® (KCRAR), and participates in industry events in the Kansas City metro, as well as national ICSC conferences in Las Vegas and Dallas. Kassie’s commitment to leadership and service is reflected in her previous roles as Member Director of the Downtown Overland Park Partnership, Board Member of the Strive for Life Foundation, and Board Member and Programs Chair for CREW Kansas City.
