From a concept dating to 1997 with the City of Lenexa’s Vision 2020 planning document, The District at City Center Lenexa is the heart of the city’s “new downtown” and the next generation of suburban mixed-use. This new urban environment offers the community a unique and integrated walk-able downtown experience with public spaces to animate city life. The mixed-use complex is broken up into two separate building blocks, each with its own internal parking garage, together they span a quarter mile centered around City Center Drive offering a true live / work / play experience.
Within the two building blocks sits three Office Towers (Penn I, II, III) which have approximately 45,000 SF of total office space. Each tower has 3 stories of office on top of 30,000 SF street-level retail from in-line to end-cap restaurants. Penn II Office Tower also includes an amenity floor, Tower Lounge, available for all tenants. This includes a Conference Room, Outdoor Deck with fireplace, and a Social Lounge. Mixed within the office and retail sits 175 residential units at the District Flats, managed by EPC Real Estate.
