The historic Jenkins Music Company building is to be redeveloped into a mixed-use project with commercial space on the ground floor and loft style apartments in the balance of the space. The nine story building is the only residential project located in the heart of the Power & Light District, Kansas City’s premier entertainment district. Jenkins is a tall, thin building with 1,600 square foot floor plates that ideally lay out for one or two units per floor while maximizing windows, light and balcony space. The exclusive 16 apartment project along Walnut Street will enliven the facade of what was once the renowned Jenkins Music Company building.
