Bill joined Copaken Brooks in 2007 and is responsible for all company financial and accounting practices, and preparation of financial reports. This includes responsibility for accounting, financial planning, cash management, fixed asset management, budgeting, audits, tax planning and process improvement. Since joining the firm, Bill has become proficient in cost segregation and job cost accounting for construction projects. Bill also supports the Chief Operating Officer and the Chief Investment Officer with special projects and assignments.
Prior to joining Copaken Brooks, Bill worked as Controller with Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP, a Kansas City law firm where he had overall financial and accounting responsibility, including business analysis and intelligence. Before that, he held a succession of tax, accounting and finance positions at Black & Veatch, a global engineering firm, for 13 years.
